Doctoral Research 2010I am completing my doctorate in Education and conducting my doctoral research on Metacogniton in the Florida public school system this spring 2010. Wisconsin REACH GrantIn 2006, I wrote a successful $150,000 proposal for funding literacy and math development for nine school districts in Wisconsin. I continue to provide professional development workshops for PK-12 teachers in comprehension and vocabulary strategies. A key focus of my work is to utilize Response to Intervention (RTI) and progress monitoring for a formative evaluation which drives instruction. For the Wisconsin REACH grant, I conducted research and reported my results to Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. I have also presented my research in Metacogntiion at our statewide literacy conference to professional PK-12 educators. Wisconsin READS GrantIn September 2005, I wrote a successful proposal for funding and began presenting professional development workshops to educators in five school districts in northwestern Wisconsin - Bayfield, Glidden, Northwood, Park Falls and Superior- as part of the 2005-2006 Wisconsin READS grant. |
